Juvederm, Juvederm Plus and Juvederm Ultra Plus are all hyaluronic products that have been used sucessfully for intradermal injections with the intended purpose of filling lines and wrinkles as well as enhancing thin lips.  The product line allows for a choice of longevity in  the results obtained because of the way the injectable materials are prepared.  Through a process known as crosslinkage, the HA molecules are "linked" together to allow a more vicous gel that can produce results that last longer than those products that are less crosslinked.

Crosslinkage can best be throught of as you might think of the difference between a barbed wire fence and a chain linked fence.  When the molecules become more interwoven as with a chain linked design, the product becomes more gelatinous and wiil be less apt to lose its desired shape once placed within the dermis whether to fill a line or wrinkle and/or to plump up lips.
