LASER TATTOO REMOVAL

WHAT IS LASER TATTOO REMOVAL?

During a laser tattoo removal procedure, concentrated laser light beams are targeted at the pigment in your tattoo in order to break them up and disperse them throughout your body. This allows you to naturally absorb the ink so it may be broken down and then eliminated.

More than one session is required in order to completely remove a tattoo. The number of sessions you require will depend upon the age, size, and location of your tattoo as well as its colors. Black ink absorbs all laser wavelengths, and is therefore the easiest to remove. Blue and green inks also fade sooner than yellow or purple do.

Your tattoo will become progressively lighter with each subsequent treatment, and there may also be some redness, swelling, and light bruising for a few days afterwards. You must allow enough time for your skin to fully heal before having another procedure, which is why we often recommend waiting between four and six weeks between sessions.
