During microdermabrasion, our aesthetician will use a special hand piece that spits out crystals onto your skin. These crystals produce a gentle sanding or abrasion process that helps to eliminate dead skin cells on the surface. It takes anywhere from 30 to 60 minutes to perform a treatment. The number of recommended treatments will vary, but can be anywhere from five to 12 sessions spaced between two and three weeks apart. To maintain your results, you will need periodic touch-up procedures once you have completed your initial treatment regimen. To increase the effects, you may want to combine microdermabrasion with a light chemical peel.
