BODY SURGERY

Both men and women like to feel good about their bodies. When a person is overweight or has excess skin, it can lead to feelings of self-consciousness or self-loathing. In turn, overweight individuals hide under baggy clothes, afraid to show the world their figure.

At English Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery Center, we understand the way your body looks on the outside can affect how you feel on the inside. Sometimes, eating a well-balanced diet and exercising regularly is not enough to eliminate fatty tissue stored in the body. We can help!

To ensure you are a good candidate for body surgery, Dr. English will have you complete a health questionnaire and ask you about any medications you are taking. Depending on your answers, he may also recommend pre-operative bloodwork, particularly for more invasive procedures that require anesthesia. Prior to surgery, he may also recommend you:

• Stop smoking;
• Refrain from taking medications that thin the blood, including aspirin; and/or
• Avoid sun exposure or tanning beds.
