Microneedling in Little Rock, AR
Dr. English, a triple board-certified surgeon at English Plastic & Cosmetic Surgery Center, offers various plastic and cosmetic surgery procedures to the residents of Little Rock, Conway, Pulaski County and the surrounding communities in Arkansas.
What is microneedling?
Microneedling is a procedure in which a tiny roller containing very small needles is ran over top of your skin. This creates micro-tears, causing your body’s healing mechanisms to kick into high gear in order to repair the damage. As part of these healing mechanisms, your body produces more collagen and elastin, leading to firmer, tighter skin with fewer wrinkles than before.
The microneedling procedure is performed here in our Little Rock office on an outpatient basis. We sometimes use a topical anesthetic to numb your skin, although many of our patients report the amount of discomfort is easily tolerable even without anesthesia. Following microneedling, your skin may be red, puffy, and slightly swollen, but these side effects will disappear on their own within a few days.
Benefits of microneedling
Microneedling addresses the root cause of aging, namely decreased collagen and elastin production. As such, it is one of the most effective ways to turn back the clock without going under the knife. Microneedling procedures can be performed anywhere on the face or body, and may be repeated every six to eight weeks in order to maintain results.
Am I a good candidate for microneedling?
You may be a good candidate for microneedling if you do not mind having skin that is slightly red and/or bleeding. Many of our microneedling patients schedule this procedure for a time when they can stay home for a day or two afterwards.
How much does microneedling cost in Little Rock?
Each microneedling procedure is unique because it is performed with YOU in mind. Since your needs will be different from other patients, it will not be possible to provide you with an exact cost until after you meet with Dr. English the first time. Once he has established a treatment plan, we can then go over the cost and discuss which method of payment might be right for you. We accept cash, personal checks, and major credit cards, in addition to financing through CareCredit® or MedLoanFinance.com.
Microneedling procedures are generally considered elective, and are therefore not covered under most health insurance plans. As such, our office does not accept any form of health coverage.
